New Haven Primary School serves over 500 students in the New Haven attendance area in grades Pre-k through 2nd grade. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, safe, nurturing, environment for students, families and community. Our core curriculum, highly effective instructional staff, and high expectations for all students show our commitment to providing an educational environment wherein students flourish.
New Haven Primary utilizes the Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) framework to provide a safe and productive learning environment for our students. PBIS is a proactive approach to teaching and supporting positive behavior in students. Behavioral expectations are clearly defined, taught and practiced. Students are consistently acknowledged and rewarded for appropriate behavior. Under this PBIS umbrella, instructional time is more effective to teaching, and the school climate is more conducive to learning.
Some new members to the New Haven Primary Staff include the following people: Danielle Newman, Kristina Connally, Deena Church, Rowdy Halter, Jeanette Lundeen, Diane Schaper, Danielle Macias, and Amanda Gossett. We look forward to meeting all of you at "Back to School" night on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5:00-6:30pm.
The new school year begins on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. In order for our students to have daily successes, we would like to encourage our parents and community to be involved in our school and also a host of community activities throughout the school year. We hope to see all of you this fall to get things started in the right direction.
